During HD Boutique (held in Miami September 14th and 15th), NEWH – the hospitality industry network, launched its ENDOW program, aimed at helping manufacturers give back to future professionals and students in the hospitality industry. The champagne celebration held on the show floor honored its first partners at its booth: Electric Mirror, Durkan Patterned Carpet, and RBF Group/Beverly Furniture.
Nicole Collins and Jim Mischel of Electric Mirror below believe in giving back. "It's about investing in hospitality and its next generation," explains Mischel.
And here's how the program works. Every time a product from one of the participating manufacturers is specified or purchased, a portion of the sales will be given to NEWH to go towards programs that provide financial aid to those pursuing careers in hospitality.
"NEWH has been a great partner and it's our responsibility to give monetary support," says Lee Blair below, with Dianna Markavage of Durkan.
Kenny Henry and Robert Brown of RBF Group/Beverly Furniture decided to make this commitment because education is important to them. "There is value in furthering education," they both explain.
Go for anyone who helps make you smile since it will take only a smile to produce a darkish day appear shiny. Do you imagine so?
